Take it outdoors

There's no better way to appreciate the working forest than to get outdoors. The Forest Works! region is blessed with an abundance of natural areas. There are mountains to hike, lakes to fish, rivers to paddle and woods to view and hunt wildlife. Many of these opportunities would not be as available were it not for the generosity of private landowners who have opened their land to snowmobilers, hunters and other recreationists. Whether you are active or more laid back, there's a way to experience the natural world. Check out our listings for land trusts, trail groups, snowmobile clubs, mountain bike excursions and campgrounds.
